Update...

Hello!!

I know I haven't been on here and updated my blog like I should have and I'm sorry. To back track a little-I was really sick for a couple of weeks with a cold that wouldn't go away then one of my boss'(Skip) passed away suddenly-very sad but He trusted in Jesus and is now with Him. Then...my brother-in-law was in a motorcycle accident and was hurt pretty bad. He is alive but in a lot of pain and Anthony had to take care of him for awhile. Please pray for him as he is trying to heal. So, as far as my progress goes on my weight loss-I weighed this morning and have stayed them same during the last few weeks. Not what my goal was but the good news is I have signed up with a "Boot Camp" training at the gym for the next 6 weeks. I did my first session yesterday and can't hardly move today!! I am sure this will jump start me back shedding some lbs! Thanks for the continued encouragement and support-love you guys! Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
(FOR YOU...SKIP!)

SO....

This week I caught a cold Alexia had and have been sick since Wednesday night. YUCK!! I wasn't able to exercise on my schedule and have decided not to officially "weigh in". I understand though that this is what happens in real life and I have to go with the flow:) I am not by any means defeated! I just have a rough next few weeks getting back to my schedule...please pray for me! Thank you!!!!

Update Nine...

Hi!

I was just looking at the date today and I can't believe I've already been doing this blog for 2 months!! Time flies! I have been so blessed by my progress and the support. This week I have lost 2 lbs for a total of 28.5 lbs. Others are starting to notice the difference also-which is exciting! Hopefully next week I can break the 30 lbs mark. God has put Galatians 6:7 on my heart and mind for this week-"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sow that shall he also reap." I will continue to sow diligence, faithfulness and of course will power and I believe God will have me reap the rewards! Thank you for the prayers!!

Jenne
Hello Beautiful Granddaughter,

Love you lots, and we'll give little Magnolia an extra kiss for you this weekend...

Michael and I were reading your blog tonight. We think you are doing great and celebrate every pound with you...losing at a slow steady rate is very healthy and shows your determination to stick to your goal even in the face of your hip injury. As I talked to you earlier in the week, I couldn't hide my smile when you told me of the healthy food choices you were making for the kids lunches...You are getting this turned around A LOT earlier than I did and your families health habits will follow them forever!!We Love YOU!!!

Mom and Michael
Jenne, not sure if this will show but I wanted to let you know I am excited to reunite our families again via the wonderful friendship of Austin and McKenna! God works in mysterious ways! Anyway, just wanted to tell you how much we enjoy your entire family! Well Done, my friend!

I know I'm 30 now and losing my technical saavy....... but I've been reading this blog (my first time ever on a blog..btw) for some time now and I still have no idea if I can write on there or respond or if I have to sign in or what the deal is. Not a clue. I've read every update and how do I sign up
for an lb? And do you have any requests? My initial thought is to drive up to meet you for the day and either take you out one on one or bring the whole family day with our families. Since I lack seeing you very much. Let me know how all this crazyness works. I'm very proud of you and keep strong. You are buliding great new habits that will be there for as long as you want! I love you. Tell the fam Uncle Tony says Hi!

That's an incredible number 21...and I know God is going to take you to your goal. You are 1/4 of the way there and it's not even been 2 months yet!!!! I'm back this week and I need a workout partner :o))

Love you,

Mom
Yeh Jenne!!! I just got home and got ur email. Hope you loved your "20lb." gifts! I loved buying them for you. Now Im gonna hit the gym myself and get off the 8 lbs that I have gained over the last few months. Stephen and Julie looked so good and have gotten there just like you. One lb. at a time, hard work and healthy eating habits. I have 2 weeks before my test and you have inspired me to "pump it up a notch"!!! Cant wait to see you at Christmas and hug your sweet neck! I love you and just wanted you to know. Oh by the way, Stephen sends his love and hugs to you and your family. MUAH!!!

Aunty Carol
Hey pretty gal,
Keep up the good work. Don't let a little bump slow you down. I am really proud of you. Wish I were so committed now!
Grandma
Sorry to hear that you got hurt. I hope you will start to feel better real soon, have a great week.

Love, Elizabeth
I wanted to let you know that after I received the email you sent out about your daughter’s weight loss, I started thinking that I needed to take action as well… since then, I started preparing myself mentally and slowly planning what I could do to lose weight. I’ve been doing weight watchers from home, on my own, for the last 3 weeks and I’ve lost a total of 10 pounds as of today. I’m also exercising for 30 minutes daily (5 days a week) on my elliptical trainer. I guess I can’t say that I’m on a diet because I’m actually changing my eating habits and the portions!!! I just thought I’d let you know. I’m still going strong and I have a strong will this time around. =)

I will keep you updated. Please send me the link to your daughter’s blog and/or tell me how she’s doing. =)

Update Five...

Well hello,

This week I had a slight "injury" to my hip and needless to say left me very disappointed not being able to do as much as I wanted. I had a cry and then I had my morning devotions with God. He showed me He heard me and answered me by giving me a random devotion titled "Conquering Disappointment". The verse for the day was Psalms 22:5-"They cried to you and were saved; in you they trusted and were not disappointed."-Thank you Jesus for your grace and amazing love and for getting me through another week!!!! I have lost 1.5lbs this week for a total of 21 lbs.

Jenne
Hey there Jenne,

That was so sweet! How is your weight loss plan going. I think it is so amazingly transparent and brave that you are putting your self out there like this. I want to encourage you to keep going I know you can do it. I also know how frustrating it all can be, but don't give up it is so worth it. I will be praying for you as you work really hard to get healthy.

Father, God, I thank you for Jenne, she is a great wife, mother and friend. Lord you know her heart and her struggles and I pray that you strengthen her from within. Help her with her quest to be healthy and take care of the temple you have given her. Send godly people all around her to lift her up, support and encourage her. Thank you for her heart and all that she is and Jesus, I ask that you bless her and her family beyond measure all the days of their lives. In Jesus name AMEN!!!
Blessings,
Anita
Jenne:

Hey... CONGRATULATIONS on everything you've done so far on your weight loss! You're up to 20 now?!

Karl
Congratulations on your weight loss! I know how hard it is! (I lost almost 40#+ and kept if off for about a year so far) For me Diet is harder than excercise. I love to go to the gym, walk, play tennis, just wish I could make time to do it every day, instead of just a couple of times a week. My rule of thumb is to try not to eat anything processed, with any chemicals or refined starches or sugars..... but, I had to be scared into eating healthy. You have to read Natural Cures They Dont Want You To Know About, by Kevin Trudeau. It really inspired me to make alot of drastic changes.
Take care Jenne & know I am a phone call away if ever you need Any Thing!

always,
Lisa
I am so proud of you!!!! I'll be shopping in New York for your 27th pound gift!!!! Keep at it girl!!

Love ya,
Marian
I can't wait to see you...2 weeks away seems so long. I have always known you could do this. You are such a beautiful lady inside and out and you are 1/4 of the way to your goal!!!! You inspire me and because of your determination, I too am back at the gym and caring more about taking care of myself again. I love you more than you know and I'm so proud of all you've accomplished at such a young age...You are amazing to me!
Miss you,

Mom

Dear Jenne;
My oh My! You are pulling in those numbers! You are getting there, sometimes we are called through slow and difficult times, this may be that week, where it feels like its slow moving. But remember to stay the course. Its not about the daily or even weekly numbers ( most of the time), its about the lifestyle change of working out and eating sensible. You are getting there, I see it, I hear it and I know it to be true as well. You can do this, I know you can. I believe in you Jenne Aguirre. So don't you even think on any other thoughts other than. I know I can! And I know you can too!

Be Strong!

Jenne...
I just want you to know that I'm very proud of you. What you're doing is remarkable!!! As believers we know that God has blessed us with our temples, and it's up to us to take care of them. This encourages me to do take care of my temple. So, I want to thank you for listening to the voice of God, and being obedient to Him! Now it's time for me to be obedient and step it up!!!

Thanks again and I can't wait to hear the new results!

Keep going and be blessed,

Christian

Update One...

Hello everyone!!

First I want to say that God has given me the strength and dedication to do this. I would not be able to do any of this without His grace and love-He is faithful!! Secondly, Thank You to everyone who has encouraged, pushed, checked in, and cared. I started this not knowing what would come of it. I want to say I was just amazed and in awe at the responses that I received. I got emotional just to see how many people cared. These last 11 days have been challenging but to tell you the truth any time I even think about giving up, one of ya'll pop into my head and I remember the accountability.
So, now for the results. I did my "weigh in" this morning and....drum roll please....I have lost 7.5lbs to date!! I am so excited and encouraged!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

Jenne
Hi Jenne,
I want to encourage you to keep on keeping on! There are times when circumstances around seem like they are going against you, and maybe they are, but you must push through to the other side. You have done it this week and and you can continue. If this doesn't make sense then that is a good thing, if it does then its meant to encourage you to press on!
"You are beautiful and wonderfully made"

God plus one,
Kathy

Sunday, July 6, 2008

HI, I hope you had a great 4th of July. Mine was very relaxing and nice. I think this is great you are doing this help web site, I know how hard it is to lose weight, I am there and go off and on diets and work out plans myself. I know it will only work with the support of other people and with the help of God and your will power to make it happen, you have to be totally ready for a change in lifestyle and mindset. I get frustrated with myself when I start off well and then just blow it. I have been trying to find a plan for myself to get on a diet and excercise program and I just need to make it happen. I have a friend who needs support in losing over 100# and I myself have set a goal of 40# to lose, I have already lost 7 and have a lot more to go. I am proud of you and will keep you in my prayers and I will buy you a new shirt when you reach your 25# mark. Good luck and I know you can do it...
Love,

Elizabeth
Congrats jenne ! you'll do fine..and keep trusting in God to get you through this !

Hello my Jennene,
I am so proud of you! You are going to do what it takes because I know you and when you put your mind to something you can do it. SO, I have something to tell you cause if you lose 82 lbs. then I'll sell you my husband!!....no, I'm kidding I don't think he'll let me do that. I'll get you a CAT!...wait, you already have one. I know! I'll give you my children for the weekend and you'll have a GREAT time with them! No, that probably won't work. Um Humm...what could I do? I am going to say, madam, at your 10lb weight loss we are going to need to do something big. What shall we do? You think about it. See what you want to do. I am thinking we should go to the mall and do some shopping or get our nails done or maybe watch a funny movie or I don't know-the ball is in your court girl. I am TOTALLY supportive of whatever, whatever, WHATEVER you need me to do. Anyway, love you, I am so proud of you, you can do this!! You will be healthier and feel better. You know I love you!! Alrighty, you just tell me what you need me to do. I will call you every day if thats what you need. I know you can do this!!

Love ya,

Janene

Wow, is this ever true...thanks Holly for your friendship and encouragement of Jenne, my very sweet, smart, funny, and incredibly insiteful daughter.
:o)Kim-mom
Hi Jenne;

This is an awesome opportunity you have presented us with and I am honored to be able to be a part of helping you with your goals. I offer my self to you as a "walk" out partner 2 days a week of your choice. When you reach the 50lb mark I will have something very special to give you, for now it will remain a secret. I can't wait to give it to you!
"For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need."
Stay Strong Jenne, I believe in YOU!

In Christ,
Kathy
My dear and darling friend,

It is about time you began thinking about yourself and your health, too!

Even though there are many, many miles between us, you are often in my thoughts. You have been such a fantastic friend to me (and still are); I will offer you whatever kind of encouragement you need or that I may think of. I miss our breaks / speed walks / quick talks around and around the building and inside the atrium during our careers at CSE.

I will sponsor you at 12 lbs. by walking briskly with you on the beach. This walk will have to occur sometime during August 9th - 12th. After our walk in the sand and surf, we will then have a wonderful, healthy meal on Clearwater Beach (my treat) at the restaurant of your choice! I will also sponsor you at 28 lbs. with a few pairs of new colorful socks! I realize that you live in FL, but what young, beautiful woman doesn't need some great wardrobe accessories?

Now, there is something that I want you to do for yourself.

Start a Positive Journal. Right now. Find a notebook. It doesn't have to be a fancy one, just a plain one from the Dollar Store or Target will do, but you must write in it everyday. Or you may even keep a "notebook" on the computer. Do not worry about spellings or punctuations.

Start out by writing/typing ten (10) Positive things that you like about yourself. Could be your fingernails, your ability to practice patience in difficult situations, the fact that you are a great listener... You understand? For example - I think you have a fantastic smile, you have an infectious laugh, you give marvelous hugs, you are honest ~ even when the truth might hurt (but that's a great quality for a friend to have in my opinion), you have a kind soul, you have 2 terrific children who love you tremendously, your husband absolutely adores you.

Remember, for every negative thought one must have seven (7) positive thoughts in order to cancel out those negatives.

You believe in yourself and you can do this.

I Love You Jenne,

XO,

Holly
I love it!!! You can be so fine...so fine...so fine you blow my mind! LOL

Eva
Hi Jenne, I am so happy to hear you have a plan. I know how difficult it is to lose weight and how easy it is to gain. At #30 I will sponser a girl's night out. Love you,

Andrea

Cindy Fisher
Jenn,
First, I am very happy that you are willing to put such a huge effort towards your health! We have gone through a lot with your weight being a big issue. Just put your full faith in everyone that is going to help through some of your very tough times! Most of all God is with you at all times, so when you feel that you just can't do it anymore... think 1 Corinthians 10:13 God is faithful!! So, have the most faith in him and all things will come an abundance. I say this because you are going to inspire a lot of people with things that they have been struggling with. You have struggled for too long lets do this BABY!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!-In the voice of Tony Little-(Sorry guys, I had to!) Now lets get started. I will sponsor you on 20lbs=$100.00 (clothes only), 40lbs=$125.00 (clothes only), 60lbs=$150.00 (clothes only), 80lbs=$200.00 (lingerie only), 82lbs=$200.00 (clothes only) + a trip to where ever you want to go.....anywhere!!! I love you & I know you have a great team supporting you!!

Anthony
OMG girl...........I haven't talked to you in so long. I miss you and love you lots. I'm so proud of you, I know you can do this!!!!! At 41lbs I'll take you to dinner and we'll catch up. Keep your chin up and if you ever need to talk please call me or email me. Muah..........

Danielle
Well, that is awesome!!! I'm also on a diet/work out plan to get to my pre-pregnancy weight (really to fit into my old jeans and to wear my wedding rings again!) My best friend Erika is helping me stay accountable for my workouts and diet (since it's so hard to do something like this without a partner). I email her every day to tell her how many calories I had the day before and what workout I did that day.I could be that support system for you...email me every day or every other day to tell me what you've done/ eaten that day. We can do this together :o)
Good luck!!!

Mindy sister
Where's your website? I'll sign up as your early morning workout partner...I'll agree to get up earlier to meet you so we can do this before work. Then, we you reach lb#35 I'll buy your ticket to Houston so you can babysit your sweet niece!!! Then, when you reach lb#75 maybe you and me will take a mother daughter trip to some cool city for the weekend and have the time of our lives :o)

I love you and I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

MOM
Well my friend has found that money is a great motivator in their office, so how bout I say let others match me in that I will pay you .50 for every pound lost, we could pay out once a month, or whatever...

In the beginning...

Hello all,
This is taking a lot for me so try and bear with me. Thanks.
I have been struggling with my weight for years now and some of you may understand that it is NOT fun and can be down right depressing. To be quit honest-in the last 6mths to a year I have just given up. I was tired of being on this continued roller coaster-up, down, good day, bad day. In my head I know what I need to do but sticking to it is the difficult part. I have tried a lot of things and a lot of things work...but then I fall of the wagon. So that leads me to today. About a week ago I saw on TV a story of a woman who weighed 400lbs and enlisted support of friends, family, and co-workers to help her by "sponsoring a lb". For example one guy said he would shave his head when she had lost the pound he sponsored-so all the other friends encouraged her as they wanted to see this guy's head shaved also. Each of them made a commitment to help her as she made a commitment to loose the weight. She has since lost her "200 lbs." She has a website I found and read up on-(I pasted it below)it was inspiring. This is something I have never thought of trying-maybe embarassment, maybe invasion of personal space, accountability, etc...Whatever the reason, I need to do this now. I have 82lbs to loose and that is too much to be carrying around on me for health reasons. I am biting the bullet and doing this now instead of prolonging and making worse the inevitable. Please help me-be creative-inspire me! Thank you so much for what I know this will do for me. My starting date was actually July 1st so sorry for the late email. I will keep all of you posted on the progress. If you need ideas-the website below has some. Also, you may fwd this to anyone I might have left out.
PS-My verse during this time is 1 Corinthians 10:13
God is faithful!
Love you-Thank you!!!
